It begins with a dream and passion……
Richie immersed himself in the art world from a young age, dedicating his childhood to studying various artistic techniques. During high school he pursued O-Level courses with a focus on portrait and realistic art, mastering sketching, watercolour, collage and charcoal over more than eight years.
Despite aspirations to attend art academy, his plans took an unexpected turn when his family sent him to study agriculture in Taiwan for two years.
In late 2021, Richie ventured into abstract painting for the first time. Throughout 2022 he delved deeper, discovering that abstract art is his chosen language for expressing his innermost thoughts and forging connections with life and his own essence — drawing influence from American artist Jackson Pollock as much as from his own experiences.
In late 2023, he left behind his career in agriculture to fully commit to his passion. Through diligent effort and seizing opportunities along the way, he eventually discovered illumination along his artistic path.
